How quaint to stay for a week on an old Dutch sailboat in the canals in Leeuwarden. We made it our base to explore the surrounding province, while still being able to keep in contact with our family back in Australia through the use of the Wi-Fi. Thanks for the opportunity to share your place.

Being a Dutch Australian and having lived in the land of Oz for 34 years my dream was to have a "Dutch"Experience. And what an experience it was! For 5 days on a centrury ond boat in the heart of such a historic Dutch city - Leeuwarden is absolutely fabulous. I loved the museums, the shops, the eateries, the historic buildings... and of course "life" on the Johanna Laetitia. What a treat!
